Former Freddie Mac exec returns as head of single-family portfolio and servicing unit
Freddie Mac has tapped seasoned mortgage executive Ravi Shankar to lead the company’s single-family portfolio and servicing unit.
As head of the division, Shankar will be in charge of the portfolio management, servicing, operations, and technology of Freddie Mac’s single-family business while supporting the firm’s Mac’s mission of providing affordable and equitable housing. Shankar brings over 30 years of experience and is also a member of the company’s senior operating committee.
“Ravi Shankar brings substantial experience to the company as a respected financial services leader, portfolio manager and Freddie Mac alum. I am pleased to welcome him back to the company,” said Freddie Mac president Mike Hutchins. “I look forward to working with this talented executive as we continue to fulfill Freddie Mac’s important mission of making home possible.”
