CBRE Group board of directors adds new member

CBRE Group, a Fortune 500 commercial real estate firm, has brought on Blake Hutcheson (pictured) as the newest member of its board of directors, effective September 1.

Hutcheson is the president and CEO of Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS), one of Canada’s largest defined-benefit pension plans with $120 billion AUM as of year-end 2021. Before OMERS, he was the president, CEO, and chief investment officer of Oxford Properties Group, OMERS’s real estate investment subsidiary.

Earlier in his career, Hutcheson served as head of global real estate at New York-based private equity firm Mount Kellett Capital Management. He was also the chair and president of CBRE’s business operations in Canada and Latin America.
